Volunteer Corner

The volunteers who've committed their time to the Refugee Project of the Chaldean Federation of America (CFA) are indeed exceptionally caring people. Their sense of cooperation and camaraderie is extremely high, as is their intense desire to make a contribution to the refugee effort. The primary assignment of these volunteers, who are from a wide variety of professions and age groups, is to review the hundreds of applications that families in the U.S. submit to the CFA on behalf of loved ones who have fled Iraq. Volunteers also provide valuable guidence to individuals completing sponsoship forms, help in the revision of various forms, bring meals to share with the volunteers, participate in CFA meetings, and do anything else asked of them to move the project forward. The CFA wishes to thank the many volunteers for the hundreds of hours they have committed to this work. There is still much more work to be done, and we hope more of our community will consider joining this relief effort and become volunteers as well.
